U_Had2_Ask asked:
Need some game players help here!
My daughter is turning 8ys.old and has been begging for a Nintendo DS.
She said she wanted a pink one.
So I looked at it today and it says it’s a Nintendo DS Lite.
I’m sure she does not know there is a difference she just likes the color pink!
So help me out here please.
What’s the difference?
Is one better than the other?
Would both suit her age?

ds lite is kinda better for me because screen isnt as dark as the ds because 1 of my friends had 1 and had to wear glasses for the rest of her life
so i guess lite is better
there is not that much of a difference in gameplay but the ds lite is smaller and lighter than the regular ds and the ds lite has a briter screen
the nintendo ds is bigger and fatter with less brighter than the nintendo ds lite the nintendo ds lite is small more compact and more brighter that’s the only difference between both of them
If your choosing between the original DS and the DS Lite I would definitely go with the DS Lite.
The price isn’t too much different but it’s worth it.
The DS Lite is all around thinner and lighter, but more importantly it has a bigger and brighter screen (and you can adjust the brightness).
Also, if your daughter ever wanted to buy extra accessories for her new system such as cases or system skins, there is a LOT to choose from for DS Lite and they haven’t discontinued these at all.
Aside from that, they don’t even make the DS original so you’d probably have to settle for a used one, where with the DS Lite you can have your choice between new or used.
DS lite is lighter and smaller compared to the DS
packs a 1000mAh battery compared to the 850mAh of the DS
They moved a few keys around to make them more accessible
