How Do You Get Donkey Kong 64 On The Nintendo 64 To Start Running?

My Nintendo 64 is old and there is a slot on the top where the jumper pack goes in. When I turn it on, a screen comes up saying I have to have an expansion pack and shows a picture of it. I have the right expansion pack. I took out the jumper pack and put in the expansion and it is just a black screen.(it looks the same as it does with the jumper pack and expansion out. Please help

Both of the two previous answers ignore the question and offer poor, irrelevant advice. The N64 remains a popular retro games console. Thousands of games aree traded online every month.
As you can see, DK64 requires the N64 expansion pak. This upgrades the N64’s RAM from 4MB to 8MB.
If it is not working, then either you are using the original Jumper Pak and not the expansion pak, or either the pak or the N64 is faulty or has dirty contacts.
Are you using an official Nintendo Expansion Pak or a third party one?

If you are 100% sure you are using an Expansion Pak and not the original Jumper Pak then try cleaning the contacts with Isopropyl alcohol or a similar product appropriate for cleaning electrical contacts. Make sure it’s turned off first though!
