I have recently gotten into vintage gaming, and bought a nintendo 64 console. I want to be able to play donkey kong and zelda, so i bought an expansion pak. It came, but now i have another problem. How do i get the jumper pack, which originally is in there, out to put in the expansion pack without damaging the jumper pack? (preferably without having to buy any tools) thanks!

There is a small slot right below (if your looking directly at the console) the cartage slot.
Push in on the thumb tab that sticks out and pull it up.
UNPLUG THE CONSOLE! Risk of being shocked if you do not do so for the next part.
The jumper pack is usually stuck in there nice and tight, get a screw driver and pop it out. Don’t stab it like a cave man, just slide it beside it and lift… I hope you get the idea. Lol.
Then simply put your expansion pack in, slides right in to place, plug it back in, and enjoy.
Zelda ftw.
Edit: You should not need the jumper pack after the expansion pack is put in and functional.
when the expansion pack came out it came with a little tool with with to remove the jumper pack. since you probably didn’t get it in the original package you won’t have this but i imagine one could use a butter knife
edit:
the next person’s answer is much better than mine. i have however heard of some games not supporting the expansion pack.
