Do Gamecube Controllers Work In A Nintendo 64?

I’m thinking of buying a nintendo 64 online, but the controllers look really awkward to hold. I’ve never used one though, just seen pictures. The controllers for gamecube seem to work fine on my friend’s wii, but do they fit in a nintendo 64?

No,the N64 was made before the Gamecube existed. The controllers aren’t awkward, trust me.Just like anything else, you will get used to it with time.

no they dont work with gamecube controllers.
the controllers for the N64 are akward but it is a very VERY fun system to have at a party or if you have friends that come over alot.
I used to play drinking games with my friends on the old Blitz football game, and super smash brothers, all those games are fun, especially Zelda and mortal kombat.
no they are completely incompatible with the N64 the wii was designed for gamecube use as well as WII programs and controllers
