Classic Game Room – NINTENDO DS LITE review
Classic Game Room HD reviews the NINTENDO DS LITE handheld video game console! From Nintendo, the DS Lite has brighter screens and weighs less than the previous model but retains the Gameboy Advance slot that was f—-n removed in the Nintendo DSi. What!? They removed one of the best features?? Yes, yes the did. And the penalty is that CGR recommends the Nintendo DS Lite because of the MASSIVE library of awesome (and many not-so-awesome) games available on Nintendo DS and Gameboy Advance media. The Nintendo DS (all models) have sole more than 115 million units putting it up there with Playstation 2 PS2 numbers. The PSP isn’t the portable Playstation 2, this thing is. The DS had a wide, eclectic array of software titles available for it. Awesome Nintendo exclusives, RPG games, adventure, 2D side scrollers, strategy and puzzle games. It’s built like a tank, has excellent battery life and even comes with a sometimes-cool touchscreen. I have ds lite , dsi and 3ds and I still think ds lite is the best for its simplicity and user interface . I actually prefer playing my ds lite over my Xbox 360 and wii !!!

Yeah, I need to get this. Probably in Cobalt Blue though. lol. But This is the newest nintendo handheld system that will play Gameboy games. So I need to get this as well as the 3DS. I have a Gameboy Color. But who the hell uses those light attachment things anymore to try to see the damn screen. I seriously don’t know how I was use to that when I was little. lol. So yes, the DS and DS Lite are the only 2 in the DS systems to do so. Kind of sucks, but what can you do?? lol.
@eug3n91 That being said, I’d really appreciate it if someone, anyone could explain to me the appeal of Nintendo products. I just can’t find any…there are better, more powerful, more fun, better built, more elegant solutions out there…
Uhmmm….this has only OLD games, the screen looks really bad, the console itself looks like a brick, nothing special about it and the cartridge-shaped format for games is a bad idea overall. Screens are small and 2 separate screens are, however “new” a bad idea and too complicated to actually use for gaming.
Games are old and boring and laggy and 2D….2D FFS… The comparison with the PSP is misplaced, the PSP is totally out of the DSs league
