Anyone Knows How To Keep A Nintendo 64 From Freezing?

My Friend has a Nintendo 64 and its really old (surprising, I know)Anyway, me and her always play it a her house and now it always freezes when it gets bumped. So I tried talking into her about buying a gamecube but she pretty reluctant on doing that. Is there anyway to keep it from freezing?
